Crater Sweater

The inspiration for this comes from Crater Lake in southern Oregon; I visited the park in July 2024 and was blown away by the vibrance of the blue water and the island itself. I really wanted to get a wool sweater into this collection but try and make it a bit more unique alongside the extreme blue color. Thus comes the distressing. On the body its literally cut into the shape of crater lake referencing a photo I took on my camera, and some additional distressing on the body. I wanted the distressing to be extreme like a crater. The elastic detailing was just a design choice I made on looks. I burnt it to give the edges a black “seared” look which was fully intentional to represent oregon summers and the wildfires down in southern oregon. I cant tell you how many smokey the bear signs I saw when I drove down there. Its an unreal park that everyone should see once in their life. Check out the video on its creation below.
