Genesis Promotional Video

In the midst of creating my first collection, and with only a few pieces remaining, I figured it was only right to set an announcement date for the collections debut. This was done not only to give people something to circle on the calendar, but also set a goal for myself to finish before the middle of summer. For this I decided to bring it back to where it all started: space 131 in my apartments parking garage. Back in April 2024, I spent multiple hours on a Friday night filming the Genesis Boot video in the same parking garage. With so much uncertainty back then, I had ideas for the rest of the collection, but I didn’t know if I could execute it as well as I have to date. To pay homage to it, I placed an easel right in that very spot. I took some oil pastels and drew the text on a notepad. I drew the title card an hour before filming. You can hear clocks ticking in the background. The paper falls to the floor completely on its own. I walk out of frame to my voice and the announcement date.
