Crucifix Neck Tie

Inspired by religion and jewelry, the crucifix necktie was born. Fully wearable and practical as a necktie, this was made from gold satin, and I used poly-fill to fill in the figures to give it some depth. My mother gave me a crucifix pendant + chain for Christmas in 2023, and it was the direct inspiration for this. I essentially wanted this tie to mimic that of wearing a necklace, the gold is supposed to represent gold jewelry in the way the light hits it. I wanted a sort of gothic looking cross to match my pendant, and it to still look rather simplistic, which is why the Jesus portion leaves out much detail. The photoshoot was taken by myself with an iPhone and tripod in my apartment. Edited in lightroom and photoshop.
