Pearl Snap Button Up Jersey

The pearl snap button up jersey initially took inspiration from a CDG Junya Watanabe piece from Spring/Summer 2007. The piece was essentially a button up jersey that I purchased on grailed. However, I wanted to make my own spin on this. The pearl snap buttons came from seeing contractors I worked with wear shirts with them on it. On top of that my neighborhood in Portland was called the pearl district. Combining those two ideas into a perfect blend, I put these buttons on the shirt. The 001 was a two-fold idea. 1. This was my first true clothing design from patterns to sewing everything together myself so it is piece number 001. 2. Triple digits are not something you don't see on a jersey, so wanting to be unique, I used 001 instead of simply 1, and additionally, starting my clothing journey, 3 digits gives me enough room for my later collections to number all my pieces. I modeled the shirt in my apartment taken on my iPhone and edited in lightroom/photoshop.
